Blondie’s 1, 2, 3, 4, & 5 that is. We are Ben, Kaitlyne, Whayne, Krislynn, and Margaret Metsker, the family behind Blondie’s Western Wear & Tack, LLC. Blondie’s Western Wear & Tack is a family-owned and family-operated business in Western Kentucky that started in 2024 after the retirement of Lewis & Becky Henson with Henson’s H-Bar Western Store. Kaitlyne, originally from Kevil, grew up barrel racing and showing horses in 4-H, local saddle clubs, and Kentucky HIgh School Rodeo then went on to compete for the Murray State University Rodeo Team in barrel racing and breakaway roping.Ben, from Taylorville, Illinois, came up through ranks of the rodeo world with Illinois Junior Rodeo Association, Illinois High School Rodeo, and went on to also compete for the Murray State University Rodeo Team in team roping and calf roping. And you guessed it… we met at Murray through rodeo!After living away for several years, the opportunity arose to move our family back to Kaitlyne’s hometown in January of 2024. That move laid the foundation for what is now Blondie’s. Being from the area, Kaitlyne knew what a staple in the the equine community Henson’s H-Bar Western Store was, and to be able to carry that on. Being actively involved in the equine industry, we are able to stay up to date with the latest styles, training equipment, and tools that you need. So whether you are a bit collector, saddle aficionado or simply love the western lifestyle, we are constantly working to meet your needs.We are excited for what God has in store for this business and our family and we can’t wait to serve you! Oh… and why the name Blondie’s? Because in a family full of blondes, “Hey Blondie” is heard frequently and this this truly a family business.
